About Department

নদিয়া জেলার নতুন সরকারি কলেজ হিসাবে কল্যাণী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ে আমাদের মহাবিদ্যালয় এবং তার বাংলা বিভাগ ২০১৫ সালে পথচলা শুরু করে। সাম্মানিক ও সাধারণ দুটি শাখাতেই এখানে সমান গুরুত্বসহ পাঠদান করা হয়ে চলেছে। ২০১৮ সাল পর্যন্ত স্নাতকস্তরে ১+১+১ শিক্ষাপদ্ধতির পর ইউ.জি.সি-র নিয়মানুসারে সেমেস্টার পদ্ধতি গৃহীত হয়েছিল। ২০২৩-২৪ শিক্ষাবর্ষ থেকে NEP-2020 গৃহীত হয়েছে। সাহিত্যের মতো বহুধাবিস্তৃত একটি বিষয়ের গুরুত্বকে বিচার করেই বিভাগের শিক্ষার্থীদের ধরাবাঁধা সিলেবাসের বাইরে নানান বিষয়ে জ্ঞানান্বেষণে নিরন্তর উৎসাহিত করা হয়। পাশাপাশি যুগের দাবিকে অগ্রাধিকার দিয়ে পাঠ্যবিষয়কে ব্যবহারোপযোগী করে ভবিষ্যতে জীবিকার উপযুক্ত করার জন্যও ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের প্রয়োজনীয় পরামর্শ ও পথনির্দেশ দেওয়া হয় বিভাগে। শিক্ষার্থীদের মধ্যে সাহিত্যের মৌলিক চিন্তা ও সৃজনক্ষমতার বিকাশে এই বিভাগ সর্বদাই তৎপর ও সজাগ। বর্তমানে মেজর স্তরে বিভাগের আসন সংখ্যা ৪৩। কেন্দ্রীয় গ্রন্থাগারে থাকা প্রায় এক হাজার গ্রন্থ ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের পাঠ্য ও পাঠ্যবহির্ভূত বিষয়ে দক্ষতা অর্জনে সহায়ক হয়েছে। বিভাগটি কালের বিচারে সুপ্রাচীন ও শিক্ষার্থীর সংখ্যার বিচারে বিপুল না হলেও স্বল্পকালীন অভিজ্ঞতাকে পাথেয় করেই স্বাবলম্বী হয়ে উঠেছে। অনতিবিলম্বে বিভাগের সফলতা প্রত্যাশিত।

Our college and its Bengali Department started its journey in 2015 under University of Kalyani as the new government college of Nadia district. Both Honours and General courses are being taught here with equal importance. From 2018-19 academic session semester system was adopted as per UGC guideline instead of 1+1+1 system at undergraduate. The NEP-2020 system has been adopted from the academic year 2023-24. Judging the importance of a multi-faceted subject like literature, the students are constantly encouraged to acquire knowledge in various subjects beyond the prescribed syllabus. Besides, the department gives necessary advice and guidance to the students to make their future livelihood suitable by making the subject matter useful by prioritizing the demands of the age. The department is always active and vigilant in developing literary thinking creativity among the students. At present 43 seats in the department for Major Course. About 1000 books in the central library have helped the students in acquiring Curricular and non-curricular skills. The department is not old in terms of time and not huge in terms of number of students, but it has become self-sustaining through short experience. Success of the department is expected soon.
